About the course

Illinois Tech?s Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering/Master of Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering accelerated master's program allows students the opportunity to pursue advanced studies and complete both degrees in as few as five years.

　　Materials engineers produce new and better materials that will revolutionize health care, information technologies, and energy. Undergraduate materials science and engineering students will be part of such cutting-edge research as energy materials for solar cells, fuels cells, or batteries, smart materials for sensors, actuators, or microphones, and biological materials for prosthetic bones or joints.

　　Our graduate program in materials science and engineering will prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed to develop and improve materials that impact everyday life. Students will study connections between materials? structure and performance, including semiconductors, nanotechnology, and bio-materials. How to apply

Entry requirements for Illinois Institute of Technology

Submit official or certified copies of the marks or grades of courses completed prior to university or college entrance, as well as all board examination scores. Transcripts can be submitted through the Common Application by a school official or uploaded to your Application Tracker once you have submitted your application. Transcripts must reflect at least three full years of grades or marks upon applying.
