Materials engineers produce new and better materials that will revolutionize health care, information technologies, and energy. Undergraduate materials science and engineering students will be part of such cutting-edge research as energy materials for solar cells, fuels cells, or batteries, smart materials for sensors, actuators, or microphones, and biological materials for prosthetic bones or joints.
Our graduate program in materials science and engineering will prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed to develop and improve materials that impact everyday life. Students will study connections between materials? structure and performance, including semiconductors, nanotechnology, and bio-materials.
