About the course
The Bachelor of Science in Interior Design prepares prospective students to solve problems related to the function, health/safety/well-being, and quality of interior environments. The interior design program promotes design research, critical thinking, and creativity in design decisions applied to interior spaces, components, and elements in the built environment. Graduates are well-prepared to enter the workplace with a skill set that allows them to thrive professionally and work collaboratively in both the commercial and residential areas of the profession. Skills include drafting, perspective drawing/rendering, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Photoshop, SketchUp, Lumion, Illustrator, and CET Designer, with an integrative understanding of HVAC, lighting, building codes, ADA, WELL, and LEED rating system.
