About the course

In the Food Enterprise option students practice strategies on entrepreneurship and innovation in food growth and development. This means discovering how to make new and exciting products with specialty crops native to Montana, learning about sustainability and rural hospitality through hands-on opportunities, either with internships or working at the Towne?s Harvest Garden located on campus. Graduates of the Food Enterprise program enter careers in food processing, food distribution or opening their own business in the food sector. The Hospitality Management major at Montana State offers two other Options Within the Major: Lodging & Facilities Management and Restaurant Management: Farm-to-Table. How to apply

Entry requirements for Montana State University

Graduation from a high school accredited by the state accrediting agency, or a passing score on an approved high school equivalency exam such as HiSET or GED. Students who complete their secondary education through home schooling or at unaccredited secondary schools may be admitted as long as they have satisfactorily performed on the ACT or SAT test and provide a final high school transcript prior to enrollment at MSU. Freshmen will be considered for admission on the basis of their secondary school record and their English proficiency. Applicants who can prove their English language proficiency and have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.5/4.0 on a U.S. scale will qualify for admission. Obtaining a minimum required score on an English Proficiency examination: Internet-based TOEFL test (iBT) – 71, Paper-based TOEFL test (PBT) – 525, IELTS - 6.0
