About the course

Environmental scientists develop solutions to hazards facing our planet. They also dedicate their lives to preserving the environment. Our program prepares you for a rewarding career in a growing and vibrant job sector. You?ll study complex environmental challenges, like pollution, climate change, and harmful waste. You?ll also develop potential sustainable solutions that can make a positive impact on our planet. Environmental Systems Science and Sustainability at Illinois State is an interdisciplinary program. You?ll take courses from a variety of areas at Illinois State. This exposes you to more perspectives, and gives you a deeper and engaging learning experience. Besides classroom learning, our program offers you real, hands-on experiences. You?ll work with the latest technology and learn in a professional lab setting. Many of our students go on field expeditions and conduct research across the world with faculty. You can also supplement your classroom learning with a professional internship. How to apply

Entry requirements for Illinois State University

Official academic records, from all schools attended (in original language and an official word for word English translation). Earn a total score of 79 on the internet based test (iBT) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), a 550 on the paper based TOEFL or total score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing (IELTS) assessment.
