About the course
The Environmental Sciences major focuses on the understanding of environmental systems and earth processes, human impact on the environment, and connecting sound scientific understanding to environmental policies. Students in this major will be equipped for the future with opportunities for a wide range of careers and additional education. As the need for understanding issues such as mitigating and adapting to climate change, advancing sustainability and predicting outcomes of environmental policies continues to increase, so does the need for environmental experts across industries. Our Environmental Sciences program prepares students to become these experts through an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the environment.The environmental industry in the US is a 265 billion annual business involving more than 32,000 individual companies/organizations. Graduates can work for state and federal agencies as well as non-profits like the Nature Conservancy. To ensure students at NC State University have access to a contemporary, comprehensive program of study, the B.S. degree in Environmental Sciences to an interdisciplinary academic program of the university. How to apply
Entry requirements for North Carolina State University - Raleigh
