About the course

Environmental science examines natural processes in our environment. It also looks at how society depends on nature, as well as our human impact on nature.

　　The Environmental Science program at Augustana focuses on the natural sciences and offers an outdoor or experiential education component, giving you a connection to the physical environment, people, and organisms impacted by our society.Augustana also offers a modified semester system called The Augustana Calendar. Each semester is comprised of a three-week session studying a single course, followed by a more traditional 11-week session studying up to four courses. This gives you the opportunity to dive deeper into research, travel, and other experiential learning endeavors, while at the same time reducing stress and workload.

Entry requirements for University of Alberta

Admission is based on your complete academic history and achievement in three main areas: your grades, your English proficiency, and completion of required subjects. English Language Proficiency requirements - TOEFL iBT: At least 90 with a minimum score of 21 points in each section. PBT is no longer accepted. IELTS - At least 6.5 with no band less than 5.5. SAT: minimum combined score of 1800 with a minimum of 600 on each section . Redesigned SAT: minimum combined score of 1200 with a minimum of 600 on each section .
