About the course

Learn how to think and act critically and creatively to tackle important environmental challenges with an environmental science major from Southern New Hampshire University. With the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, you'll examine today's most vital environmental topics, including climate change, alternative energy, sustainability and the loss of biodiversity. Based on a strong foundation of natural and physical sciences, the program offers three concentrations to choose from: Compliance and Sustainability, Energy and Natural Resources, and Wildlife and Conservation Biology. In today's world, it's essential to go green. Nowhere is this task more urgent than in developing countries, where the implementation of Western development models has created serious environmental challenges. The B.S. in Environmental Science and Sustainability (International) at SNHU provides international students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to meet these challenges sustainably in governments, nongovernmental organizations, and businesses worldwide. Our program blends insights from environmental science, the environmental social sciences, and other sustainability-focused fields into a uniquely practical learning experience that is more than merely interdisciplinary. Students spend their first two years in an environmental or other degree program at their home universities, then complete their remaining degree requirements in two years on campus at SNHU. They also take all of their SNHU environmental science and sustainability courses with the American students enrolled in the ordinary 4-year version of the program, immersing themselves not just in the content of their coursework, but also in American culture and university life. How to apply

Entry requirements for Southern New Hampshire University

Applicants for undergraduate programs must have the equivalent of a US High School Diploma with a minimum GPA equivalent to 2.5 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Students with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 - 2.49 may be eligible for provisional admission. IELTS score- 6, TOEFL iBT-71.
