About the course
Environmental scientists take on the vital role of preservation, conservation and restoration of the environment. OU's environmental science program is designed to produce well-prepared professionals familiar with the intricacies of collecting and analyzing air, water and soil samples, monitoring compliance with environmental laws and regulations, assisting industries in environmental compliance and development of sustainable cost effective technologies, and addressing public audiences on local, regional and global environmental challenges. OU environmental science students develop skills through experiential learning by practicing what is learned in the classroom through real world experiences. Students are tutored and mentored by upper-classmen with opportunities to expand horizons through study abroad. With accomplished faculty and expert guest speakers, students are empowered through professional development and receive competitive advantages in pursuing future careers. How to apply
Entry requirements for University of Oklahoma
Admission to the University of Oklahoma is based on completion of a rigorous secondary school curriculum, demonstrated by a recognized certificate of completion that would qualify you for entrance into a university in your country.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Applicants must submit official transcripts from each institution attended.
Freshman must submit official transcripts from all secondary or middle schools attended. If secondary school in your country includes standardized graduation exams and certificates, official copies of these should be submitted.
All freshman applicants are required to submit one letter of recommendation, two additional letters may be submitted.
Any high school official, including a counselor, teacher, principal, etc. Preferably someone who knows the student well.
Students will need to know the name and email address of their preferred recommender so he/she can be contacted about composing the letter of recommendation.
