About the course

The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resources is the study of the application of geology and the natural sciences to issues of natural resource development, resource management, conservation, and sustainability. This degree prepares students for careers in environmental geology, environmental science, resource management, environmental law, and environmental regulation. Geologists research natural hazards like volcanoes, earthquakes, and floods to help predict and prevent them, work that is integral to the development and construction of buildings, highways, and tunnels. They study the natural resources that power the modern world – from fossil fuels like petroleum to the rare earth metals used in smartphones and tablets. And they study natural wonders like the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls to understand the formation of continents and oceans, using geological history to gain insight into problems such as climate change and water pollution. How to apply

Entry requirements for Hofstra University - INTO USA

Admitted students intending to enroll at the university must submit their final high school transcript or proof of degree (copy of high school diploma) to the Office of Admission. Students are not permitted to begin classes at Hofstra until proof of their high school degree is received.

　　Your application should include your secondary school record, a personal statement or essay and a TOEFL or IELTS score report (if English is not your first language) or SAT or ACT exam score (see below.)

　　an internet-based-TOEFL (IBT) score of 80 or higher , paper-based TOEFL score of 550 or higher or computerized TOEFL score of 213 or higher.
