Bachelor of Science in Education - Secondary Education (Physics)

About the course

A secondary education curriculum in physics prepares a student to teach physics classes at the high school level. The love of learning, the desire to guide others to their full potential, and preparing students to enter college (or the workforce) are primary motivators for those who become secondary education teaching majors. The secondary education curriculum is designed to provide graduates with a foundation of teaching skills based on the latest in instructional theory and the use of instructional technology, coupled with in-depth content knowledge within a specific discipline. Students in licensure programs also engage in extensive clinical experiences in public schools for hands-on training in pedagogy, professional collaboration and classroom management.
