In the classroom and laboratory, on job sites and in an 800-hour internship, you will acquire the skills and knowledge to succeed in the construction industry. As the largest single industry in the United States and one of the most important, construction offers unlimited opportunities to those who are well educated and highly motivated. In addition to the University?s general education requirements, you will take classes in calculus, physics, economics and business, and management. Your major classes will focus on the current processes and functions used by construction industry practitioners, including topics such as structures, materials and methods, contract documents, estimating, scheduling, safety and project management. Entry requirements for Clemson University
Application form with an application-processing fee, drawn from either a U.S. bank or a U.S. dollar account.
Scores from the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) or American College Testing (ACT).
Official TOEFL or IELTS scores. English proficiency is measured through the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
TOEFL (code: 5111): Internet Based ? 80 or higher. Paper-Based ? 550 or higher
IELTS (code: 5111): -6.5 or higher (minimum of 6.0 in each sub score)
Note: Transfer applicants attending U.S. institutions who have passed English composition courses I and II that are equivalent to Clemson University's ENGL 1030 with a grade of B or better are exempt from the TOEFL/IELTS requirement. The test can also be waived for students from countries where English is the primary language or one of the official languages.
