About the course

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering program is concerned with the design of hardware and software for computing devices and systems. Computer Engineering students take a rigorous set of courses in hardware and software related topics. Graduates with a degree in computer engineering typically secure jobs that involve the design of embedded systems, mobile devices, automotive sensing and control systems and biomedical devices to name a few. They are also capable of working in software roles such as software engineering and web and mobile development. All three of the major programs in the Department of Computer Science (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Cybersecurity) begin by laying a strong foundation in the essential building blocks of a career in computing. These include courses in problem solving and program design, data structures and algorithms, computer architecture, and software engineering.
