NJIT?s Communication and Media program provide a uniquely liberal arts education within a technological environment, the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills that will position graduates to work in a variety of fields crucial to the twenty-first-century global economy. With its five specializations and variety of concentrations, the program serves as the basis for a number of professions or graduate school. Entry requirements for New Jersey Institute of Technology

Official High/Secondary School Transcript in English, or Notarized Copy.

　　All students who apply to NJIT must submit an official high school transcript in English. When evaluating your application for undergraduate admission, we are interested in understanding how you challenged yourself relative to the curriculum that was available at your school and the trends in your performance—especially your grades in math, science, and English. Your completed coursework should include English Composition, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Chemistry and Physics. We also consider the GPA that is indicated on your high school transcript. We look for students in the top 25 percent of their class. For schools that don't use a ranking system, we consider a 3.0 GPA or higher to be equivalent.

　　All applicants must take the SAT and/or the ACT, as they provide helpful standardized context for your application as compared to our overall applicant pool. However, be assured that test scores are only one part of our application review.

　　The minimum score required is 79 for the Internet-based TOEFL exam, 213 for the computer-based TOEFL exam, 550 for the paper TOEFL exam or 6.0 for the IELTS exam.
