About the course

As one of the physical sciences, chemistry deals with the nature and properties of matter at the most fundamental level ? molecular and atomic. In determining the properties and composition of matter, chemists are often able to develop new materials and find practical uses for them.

　　The B.S. in Chemistry - Polymer Option provides students with a greater concentration in chemistry and is accredited by the American Chemical Society.

　　Theory taught in the classroom is applied in undergraduate laboratory classes and research projects.

　　Coursework prepares you for advanced study in chemistry or a career in industry or government.

　　A B.A. in Chemistry is offered for those who plan to pursue careers which use chemistry - such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, or education.

　　Opportunities are expected to grow for chemists, especially in drug research, development, testing and

　　manufacturing industries.
