About the course

The Department of Chemistry offers courses with outstanding faculty and research opportunities in world-class laboratories to undergraduate students interested in exploring the material world.

　　The department offers four majors certified by the American Chemical Society (B.S., B.S with concentration in Medicinal Chemistry & Drug Discovery, B.S with concentration in Biochemistry, B.S with concentration in Materials Chemistry) as well as a Bachelor of Arts. Undergraduates work alongside faculty and graduate students in research labs in a collaborative environment and have the opportunity to earn an Honors degree through their research.

　　A degree in chemistry prepares students to excel in any discipline with highly valued critical thinking, analytical and hands-on decision-making skills. Our graduates have achieved success across a variety of fields: the health professions, graduate school, law school, business school, the chemical industry, consulting or even on the stage.
