Chemistry students at Howard University engage in quality curricula and cutting edge research.

　　The Bachelor of Science degree program at Howard University prepares students for a variety of career choices after graduation through our ACS Certified Program. Our program encourages undergraduates to explore all aspects of the chemical sciences including Inorganic, Physical, Biochemistry, Analytical, and Organic. We have a student-focused approach which strongly encourages students to engage with faculty in interdisciplinary research.

　　The department provides support for students to achieve their academic and professional goals. Our enrollment averages 100 undergraduate chemistry majors, which allows a low faculty-to-student ratio. Our innovative support coupled with student centered interdisciplinary research experiences has led to graduates finding successful careers as chemists, educators, and medical professionals. Entry requirements for Howard University

Submit Required Documents: All admission documents must be received before a decision can be rendered. All required documents can be viewed under Domestic Admission or International Admission. Unless otherwise noted, electronic submission (i.e. via Common App, an eTranscript system etc.) of documents is preferred. All non FTIC applicants may submit their transcripts electronically, if the college/university has an e-Transcript system. A score of 90 on the Internet based (IBT) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required for applicants whose native language is not English. Only official reports from ETS will be accepted. Note: in lieu of the TOEFL (if not offered in your country), applicants may submit results from IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with an overall score of a 6.5.
