About the course

Chemical Engineering is one of five departments within UCSB's world-renowned College of Engineering, a dynamic intellectual community with a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and community service. We offer accredited programs with globally recognized faculty who bring excitement to education through their research and industry experience. Since UCSB Engineering is a college within the larger UCSB campus, we offer an excellent student to faculty ratio for engineering courses while providing students with the services, programs, and opportunities of a larger campus. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of California - Santa Barbara

Freshman applicants are students who have:

　　Completed their secondary education and have earned a certificate of completion which enables them to be admitted to a

　　university in their home country

　　Never been enrolled as a university student

　　Take the ACT with Writing Test, SAT with Writing or SAT with Essay by December of your last year at secondary school

　　Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination:

　　Internet-based test (iBT): Minimum score of 80 or better

　　Paper-based test (completed prior to Oct. 2017): Minimum score of 550 or better

　　Revised paper-delivered test (completed Oct. 2017 or later): Minimum score of 60 or better

　　International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination (academic modules): Accepted with a 6.5 or better
