About the course

The biosystems engineering degree prepares graduates who are highly competent in developing engineering-based sustainable solutions to the global challenges and life?s essentials: safe and plentiful food to eat, pure water to drink, clean fuel and energy sources, and a safe, healthy environment in which to live. Students can also choose to specialize in one of the following three options: ecological engineering, bioprocess engineering and forest engineering. Our graduates have over 95% job placement within 6 months of graduating. Graduates excel in designing engineering-based, sustainable solutions for all of life's essential challenges, food, water, energy, environment, and health. Faculty are dedicated to graduating cross-disciplinary focused engineers with practical and adaptable problem-solving skills, that can be applied to a local community scale as well as a global scale.Students are exposed to hands-on learning opportunities, augmented with field visits and lab experiences. How to apply

Entry requirements for Auburn University - Shorelight

The ACT or the SAT is required of all freshman international applicants, as well as freshman transfer applicants with less than 30 semester credit hours. Arrangements should be made for the test results to be sent directly to the Office of Admission by the testing agency. TOEFL : 79 for the internet based test OR 213 on the new computerized test OR 550 on the written paper-based test. A band score of 6.5 or better on the IELTS is also acceptable. Graduate from a U.S. high school. All international freshman students currently attending a secondary school (high school) outside the U.S. must submit two (2) types of their official transcripts or official records. An official secondary school (high school) transcript translated into English by an official translation agency. The second copy will need to be sent to an independent credential evaluator. You will need to request a document-by-document evaluation (with a GPA) from one of the evaluators and make sure that a copy be sent to the Office of Admissions.
