About the course
As a biology major, you will build a curriculum that fits your interest with one of six possible focus areas: human health biology, animal biology, plant biology, cellular and molecular biology, ecology and evolutionary biology, and integrative biology. You will develop relationships with advisors and mentors who support you academically and professionally, and have access to research opportunities in top-notch labs. This major prepares students for careers in a diverse range of professions, including human and animal health, research, and science education. A degree in biology will provide you with the skills to succeed in diverse careers and tackle the challenges faced by our society. You will have the opportunity to learn about the organization and processes of life ranging from molecules to organisms to ecosystems. Entry requirements for Kansas State University
High school curriculum from an accredited secondary school.
Transcripts for all previous academic coursework must be submitted. This includes high school (secondary school) transcripts, and any and all university, college, vocational, community college, or technical coursework beyond the secondary level.
Minimum 2.5 GPA (Grade Point Average) on a 4.0 scale in high school coursework.
SAT - 460 on Evidence-based Reading and Writing
