About the course

Astrophysics is the branch of Astronomy that deals with the physics of space. It includes the physical properties of space objects (like planets, starts, galaxies and comets) as well as their interactions. Astrophysics includes many other disciplines from physics, such as electromagnetism, relativity, mechanics, and atomic and molecular physics. The Astrophysics major is offered as either a Bachelor of Science (BS) or a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Available courses include:

  Intermediate Classical Mechanics

  Intermediate Electricity and Magnetism

  Introduction to Modern Cosmology

  The BS in Astrophysics provides a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for graduate studies or careers in technology, medicine, education, law, finance industry, and research. The BA in Astrophysics provides a traditional liberal arts education with a solid set of core courses in astrophysics. How to apply

Entry requirements for Baylor University - International Study Center (StudyGroup)

Transcripts or mark sheets must include: years of enrollment, course titles and all marks earned for each course for 6 semesters. If your school's education system only has three years of secondary school, please have the previous year submitted as well.

  Students applying from secondary schools outside of the U.S. are not required to submit standardized test scores for admission to Baylor, however some majors will require the submission of the SAT or ACT for admission into their specific academic program. Students who opt to not submit standardized test scores will not be eligible for merit-based scholarships, and they may be selected for additional review.

  Official SAT 1 Critical Reading score of 470 (old SAT) OR new SAT reading score of 26
