About the course

This degree is a rigorous program for those students who plan to pursue graduate studies in astronomy, astrophysics or physics and are aiming at a long-term research career.

　　Astrophysics requires in-depth study of the application of physics and mathematics to astronomy. Students learn about the key physics governing the universe, such as classical dynamics and electromagnetism, quantum mechanics and relativity, and practice applying these concepts to phenomena ranging from asteroids to galaxy clusters and cosmology. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Hawaii - Manoa

To be considered for admission, you must have completed or are in the process of completing secondary school with a cumulative or overall grade point average (GPA) equivalent of B or higher. Focus will also be on the grades/marks you have received for Mathematics and Science courses. TOEFL (iBT) - 100, TOEFL (PBT) - 600, IELTS (Academic Section) - 7.0.
