About the course

This program provides students with breadth and depth in the engineering sciences of buildings and their systems: construction engineering and management, electrical systems, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems, lighting systems, structural systems. The program emphasizes integration across architectural engineering disciplines as well as with the existing civil engineering and construction engineering management programs. This program allows students to concentrate on a chosen subdiscipline of architectural engineering (e.g., lighting, HVAC, structures) while gaining the knowledge and skills to become leaders in the design and construction of building that are sustainable, energy efficient, complex, and support the health of building occupants.
