This program prepares students for careers based on the use of sophisticated computational skills and provides the opportunity for students to work with talented peers and experienced faculty on research projects in applied mathematics and statistics. This includes participating in joint projects with colleagues in engineering and the sciences. This concentration is aimed at students who wish to develop a career in statistics or related disciplines, including data analytics and data science. Teamwork and communication of results are key elements in the program?s design.
