About the course
Agricultural education is a major with excellent employment potential that offers a broad view of agriculture. Students learn about agricultural science, animal science, horticulture, agribusiness, agricultural technology management, leadership, crops, soils, and education. This combination of courses, along with professional education and an emphasis on communication skills, prepares graduates for challenging careers in agriculture. Agricultural education involves the broad study of agriculture including a core of course work in agribusiness, animal science, biotechnology, environmental service, food products and processing, natural resources, plant science, and power, structural and technical systems. Agricultural education is designed for students who wish to meet requirements to teach agriculture in a public school setting or work in other areas where education and teaching are integral (i.e. extension, agribusiness, etc.). Entry requirements for Kansas State University
Transcripts for all previous academic coursework must be submitted. This includes high school (secondary school) transcripts, and any and all university, college, vocational, community college, or technical coursework beyond the secondary level.
Minimum 2.5 GPA (Grade Point Average) on a 4.0 scale in high school coursework
