About the course

This dual degree is designed to take a high-school graduate to a master's degree in five years. Students who plan to enter this program ought to have a solid high-school record, particularly in chemistry, physics, mathematics, and English. Students enrolled in the BS/MS program will be advised by a member of the Chemistry Graduate Committee prior to registration, preferably in the spring semester preceding entrance into the dual degree. The faculty advisor will be in charge of overseeing the student's progress for the first three years. The student's research advisor will then take over for the final two years. Entry requirements for University of Massachusetts - Boston (Shorelight)

As a prospective international freshman student, you are required to submit all of the following materials in order to be considered for admission: Completed UMass Boston online admission application. An official high school record, leaving certificate and/or graduation examination results or their notarized copies. All documents in foreign languages must be translated by a certified professional. Academic recommendation letter (from a school-based counselor and/or teacher). Students who are attending or have graduated from a U.S. high school must submit SAT or ACT scores. Submission of TOEFL or IELTS scores is recommended. Students seeking full admission to the electrical or computer engineering, management, or nursing programs are required to submit their SAT or ACT test scores. All non-native speakers of English must demonstrate English language proficiency and are required to submit TOEFL (79-80) or IELTS scores (6.0).
