The Bachelor of Nursing (Advanced Studies) allows students to develop a comprehensive understanding of professional nursing practice. The advanced component focuses on cultivating non-technical skills in leadership and decision making and a better understanding of our international health landscape.

  This course is designed for those who wish to combine high-quality practical learning with extensive clinical placements across a range of settings. The degree will prepare you to apply for registration to practice as a nurse in Australia.

  The Bachelor of Nursing (Advanced Studies) is an undergraduate coursework degree that will prepare you for professional practice as a registered nurse. The advanced studies component of this course focuses on cultivating skills in leadership and decision-making, while offering a better understanding of the international health landscape. The course is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council and graduates will be eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia on completion.

  You will study core units in nursing practice and its contexts, and health, development and assessment. These include studies in child and adolescent health and care, ageing health and care, and understanding experiences of illness. Entry requirements for The University of Sydney

Admission to this course is on the basis of the following:

  a secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), or approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses

  TOEFL-IBT score - A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 23 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 25 in Writing

  IELTS score- A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band

  TOEFL - PBT score- A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 5.0 in Writing
