About the course

Nursing is the science of professional caring and offers opportunities to promote and restore health, prevent illness and alleviate suffering. In this degree, you will develop key skills for excellent nursing care. You will develop your skills through clinical placements across the health sector and you will have opportunities to undertake rural, remote and overseas placements. The Bachelor of Nursing includes multiple pathways. The degree requirements of each of the pathways are different and you will need to follow the requirements for your pathway to ensure your eligibility to graduate.

  You may find opportunities in hospitals, in the community, and in urban and rural settings. Nursing graduates are employed in a range of occupations and industries. As well as hospitals, medical centres, community health clinics and aged care centres, you'll be prepared for work in schools, the travel industry, with drug and alcohol service providers, in sporting clubs or in research organisations. How to apply

Entry requirements for Griffith University

Standard academic entry to our undergraduate degrees requires completion of secondary school comparable to Australian Year 12 or equivalent academic achievement.

  International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma - Successful completion with minimum aggregate score of 26

  a minimum overall band score of 7.0 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 7.0

  an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL minimum total score of 94 and the following minimum scores in each section of the test: 24 for listening, 24 for reading, 27 for writing and 23 for speaking.
