About the course
The Bachelor of Music degree in Music is a professional degree. The primary emphasis is on the development of the skills, concepts and sensitivity essential for those wishing to pursue music as a profession.The Instrumental Performance concentration provides preparation for graduate study in the field, a credential for private instruction and the ability to perform as a soloist, in chamber music and in large ensembles. This program is available on the following instruments: violin, viola, violoncello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba and percussion.

How to apply
Entry requirements for Kent State University
New freshmen applicants must finish secondary school in their home country by the time of enrollment to be eligible for university (comparable to the completion of senior high school in the U.S.).

TOEFL iBT - 71 iBT, TOEFL pBT - 525 (discontinued as of July 2017), 18 average of Revise PBT.
IELTS - 6.0
Freshmen should meet the minimum requirement of GPA ? 2.5 on a U.S. 4.0 scale.
On SAT, a minimum of 510 Evidence-based reading and writing / ACT, a minimum of 21 in English
Admission to this major is selective. Students must audition before being admitted to the Music major.
