About the course

The Bachelor of Music in Performance is designed for those seeking performance-related careers and goals. This degree allows students to advance their musicianship and performance skills. This is the only music degree that requires both a junior and senior recital experience. The Bachelor of Music in performance is designed for students who wish to pursue professional careers in the performing arts or related fields. Acceptance into this program is selective and is based on an audition on the student?s primary instrument. Students in this program must complete the 51-credit-hour core plus one of the tracks or emphases listed below. How to apply

Entry requirements for Northern Kentucky University

Official transcripts from all years of secondary school (or high school) must be sent directly to International Student & Scholar Services by the student’s current or previous educational institution(s).The minimum scores to be considered for admission are an ACT of 18 or SAT of 430 (through 3/15/16) or 25. TOEFL scores to be considered for admission are a 500 on the paper-based exam or a 61 on the internet-based (iBT) exam. The minimum IELTS scores to be considered for admission must include a cumulative band of 5.5 and sub-scores in reading and writing of 5.0 or better.
