About the course

Music therapy is an established healthcare profession that uses music to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals of all ages. Music therapy improves the quality of life for persons who are well and meets the needs of children and adults with disabilities or illnesses. This program prepares students for a profession in music therapy, using music to influence behavioral changes in people, from pre-school through geriatrics, in a variety of educational and health-related environments. Completion of this degree program leads to eligibility for the Board Certification exam. Successful completion of the exam leads to the MT-BC credential (Music Therapist - Board Certified).
