Bachelor of Music Education - Woodwind

About the course

The School of Music offers students who have demonstrated talent in music the opportunity to continue further study either for a profession or an avocation and at the same time acquire a broad general education. Complete sequences of courses are given to prepare a student for a career as a teacher or supervisor of music in the elementary/secondary schools, for a career directed toward composition, the music technology industry, private teaching, or concert work, or, for a thorough training in music within the structure of a broad liberal arts curriculum. All college performances, lectures, and large gatherings are cancelled or postponed until further notice. This applies to all events in our academic units as well as Montana Repertory Theatre performances and Montana Museum of Art and Culture and Montana Media Lab events. If an event can be transitioned to remote delivery it can continue in that format. If an event can be rescheduled we will do so, however at this time it is uncertain when campus events will resume.

The UM School of Music Woodwind Faculty create a vibrant, challenging, and positive learning environment for all students. We are dedicated teachers and artists who guide our students towards excellence in all areas of focus, whether it is music education, music performance, or a more general degree, such as the popular Bachelor of Arts degree. The BA degree combines well with other degrees to create an enriching double major experience. We are committed to bringing guest artists to campus each year in order to provide diverse inspiration for students and faculty alike. Scholarships - View all scholarships Internships
