About the course
This is a prestigious program in human, public health or biomedical science research for high achieving students who have completed relevant undergraduate medical studies. You will undertake research methodology training and carry out an independent research project on your selected topic, working ly with a supervisor who will provide you with individual guidance and academic counselling. The course offers a pathway to higher level research in medical science. Start of expanded content If you have successfully completed three or more years of the Monash MBBS course (or equivalent) and achieved at least a credit average, you may interrupt your studies for a year to undertake this course and pursue research in an area of medical science of particular interest to you. How to apply
Entry requirements for Monash University
This course stream is only available to international students currently enrolled in a recognised medical program who have completed study which is the equivalent of three years of the Monash undergraduate MBBS program with equivalent curriculum content, learning outcome and academic standards as determined by the Faculty. Candidates should have strong academic results with the equivalent of a credit average (at least 60 percent). IELTS: 7.0 overall (no band lower than 6.5). TOEFL Paper-based test: 587 with a TWE of 4.5. TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 94 overall with minimum scores: Writing: 24, Listening: 20, Reading: 19 and Speaking: 20.
