The scenic area provides skill development in: carpentry, various metal-working techniques, hand drafting, computer-aided drafting and modeling, vacu-forming, 3D printing, scenic painting, model building , prop fabrication, scenery automation, drawing and rendering, igging, scenic art.
Scenic design and technology students are mentored to become leaders in full-scale productions while at Baylor, developing hands-on ability in research, visual communication, artistry, and collaboration.
The Theatre Design and Technology major is ideal for students who wish to pursue careers in set design, costume design, lighting design, or technical design.
