About the course

The lighting design program prepares students in a variety of techniques practiced by professional designers the world over. While at Baylor Theatre, students explore a variety of lighting specific courses from technical elements through design and onto programming automated fixtures. Because there are many opportunities for students to design for mainstage and workshop productions at Baylor, most leave the program with a well-developed professional portfolio and multiple design credits to their name. The Theatre Design and Technology major is ideal for students who wish to pursue careers in set design, costume design, lighting design, or technical design.
