About the course

The BFA in technical direction from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) is a couse of study that has an heavy emphasis on hands-on, practical production work. Each student has a great flexibility beyond the required core coursses to focus on personal goals and development as a theatre artist. The technical direction program at CCM is dedicated to fostering the performing arts by mentoring and educating young technical directors: integrating practical training in scenic, costume, lights, sound, stage management, wigs and makeup, and leadership. Each student will exhibit and promote the highest standards of artistry, professionalism, diversity, and collaboration. Additionally, graduates of this program will be confident, critical, and creative thinkers able to focus on exploring ideas, generating possibilities, looking for many right answers rather than just one, and defining the problems presented in every live entertainment venture. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Cincinnati

Graduation from an accredited high school, generally in the top one-third of the graduating class. An official high school transcript must be submitted. Scores from either Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of the College Entrance Examination Board, or from the American College Testing Program (ACT). All baccalaureate students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 to graduate. Minimum IELTS Scores – 6.0, Minimum TOEFL Scores (iBT) – 66, Minimum TOEFL Score (Pbt)- 515.
