About the course

Stage managers assume active responsibility for the form and discipline of rehearsal and performance, and are the executive in charge of the technical running of each performance. Stage managers facilitate collaboration among the director and the heads of all production departments during rehearsal, tech, and performance. A stage manager is responsible for the calling of all rehearsals, assembling and maintaining the prompt book, along with cue sheets, plots, daily records, etc., as necessary for the technical and artisitc operation of the produciton. In addition, a stage manager maintains the artistic intentions of the director and the producer after opening, to the best of his/her ability and keeps records to advise the producer on matters of discipline, such as attendance. (Summary based on the Definition of the Duties of a Stage Manager as provided by the Actors Equity Association, the professional union of performers and stage managers.). How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Cincinnati

Graduation from an accredited high school, generally in the top one-third of the graduating class. An official high school transcript must be submitted. Scores from either Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of the College Entrance Examination Board, or from the American College Testing Program (ACT). All baccalaureate students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 to graduate. Minimum IELTS Scores – 6.0, Minimum TOEFL Scores (iBT) – 66, Minimum TOEFL Score (Pbt)- 515.
