About the course
The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is a professional program providing directed studies in eight studio concentrations within the visual arts. The program is designed for students seeking in-depth preparation for specialized goals selected from one of the following areas: ceramics, creative photography and experimental media, drawing and painting, entertainment art/animation, graphic and interactive design, illustration, jewelry and metals, and sculpture. The program develops the understanding and advanced specialized skills applicable to professional practice and to meet entrance requirements to graduate school. The Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Fine Arts programs provide comprehensive learning environments that contribute conceptually and technically to the development of the art historian, visual artist and art educator. Specifically, the programs provide opportunities for students to: develop a knowledge and understanding of fundamental visual experiences and concepts basic to many forms and fields of art, develop a critical appreciation of historical and contemporary art forms as they relate to individual and social needs and values, demonstrate the ability to creatively express personal comprehension and thought with visual skill and clarity, develop awareness and abilities necessary to pursue graduate studies in visual arts, and demonstrate an understanding and expertise applicable to professional practices in the arts. How to apply
Entry requirements for California State University - Fullerton
Applicants who are graduates of foreign secondary schools must have preparation equivalent to that required of eligible California high school graduates. The university will carefully review the previous record of all such applicants and only those with promise of academic success equivalent to that of eligible California high school graduates will be admitted. Undergraduate applicants must achieve a score of 500 on the paper-based TOEFL exam or 61 on the internet TOEFL. We accept test results from the IELTS exam. The minimum score for undergraduate applicants is 5.5.
