About the course

At the University of Montana there are several curricular paths to studying the craft of acting. No interview or audition is required for initial entry into the BA Theatre degree where students complete foundational courses in acting, script analysis, and theatre production. After students have successfully completed their first year of study they are invited to audition for the BFA Concentration in Acting. The curriculum includes classes in Directing, Stage Management, Voice and Speech, Physical Performance, and all levels and traditions of Acting, including Shakespeare, devised theatre, contemporary approaches, and acting for camera. Students are also encouraged to take electives in other areas of the visual and performing arts that will supplement and expand their abilities as performers. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Montana

Submit official transcripts, academic records, diplomas, national examination results, certificates or degrees received from all secondary, post-secondary, university and/or professional schools. All academic records must be in the original language accompanied by an English translation. The applicant may make the translation themselves. TOEFL iBT - 70 or higher, TOEFL PBT - 525 or higher, IELTS - 6.0 or higher. To be eligible for admission, freshman students must have the equivalent of a 2.5 GPA.
