About the course
After completing Western Engineering?s Common First Year, you can enroll in the Chemical Engineering program. In your third year of study, you will have the opportunity to choose one of the following options: General Chemical Engineering or Biochemical and Environmental Engineering. This option explores traditional chemical engineering processes and applications. The objective of the program is to combine and integrate the fundamental principles of chemical and biochemical engineering to design commercial processes and plants that make consumer products that are both economical and environmentally friendly. Among the distinguishing features of our program is the emphasis on prevention of pollution at the source before by integrating innovative design principles of physical, chemical and biological processes. How to apply
Entry requirements for Western University
A minimum average of B grade in 3 distinct A-Levels or 4 distinct AS-Levels. Your admission is based on your secondary school curriculum They will accept AP courses taken at your high school to calculate your admissions average However they cannot admit you based on your AP exams only.
A minimum of a C grade in 5 GCSE IGCSE Ordinary Levels or equivalent in academic subjects.
A competitive high school average.
A minimum of 4.0 full senior academic courses reported on your academic transcript.
A minimum SAT combined Evidence-Based Reading and Writing plus Math score of 1190 OR a minimum ACT composite score of 24.
The score reports must be official and come to the Admissions Office directly from the College Board ACT.
TOEFL IBT - A minimum overall score of 83 - A minimum of 20 in each section.
IELTS - A minimum overall band score of 6.5 - A minimum of 6.0 in each section.
PTE Academic - A minimum overall score of 58 - A minimum of 56 in each section.
International Baccalaureate -
You’ll need -
A complete IB Diploma including.
Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay.
Passes in at least six subjects three at Higher Level.
A minimum total grade of 28 including the Extended Essay and TOK.
No mark less than 4 on any course.
