Emphasis is given to inquiry-based practical work, demonstrations, co-operative group work, whole class discussions and use of information communication technology, to ensure effective learning and teaching practices in secondary science. Planning, teaching, and assessment strategies are developed within a range of science content areas. There is also a focus on collaborative teaching processes, whilst acknowledging the importance of individual creative practice.
