This unique offering allows you to fast-track your studies, develop greater expertise and broaden your career opportunities. You will study a three-year bachelor degree and a one year master’s degree (typically two years) in four years by using your undergraduate electives.Focus on areas such as festivals and events, event marketing, tourism and policy planning, and international conventions.Learn effective problem-solving skills, strategic thinking and communication.Enjoy a fast-paced career in travel, tourism, hospitality or events.Attend, critique and help to run events as part of your studies.The degree starts with core courses in business. These will give you a solid grasp of business fundamentals such as economics, accounting and business intelligence.

  Business development manager: working to improve an organisation’s market position and financial growth, defining strategic goals, building customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, implementing marketing initiatives

  Community development officer: maximising the use of local facilities through the development of programs, creating partnerships, and working with the community, developing initiatives for local residents to improve wellbeing and enhance quality of life

  Events and exhibitions coordinator: project managing and coordinating collection changeovers and exhibitions at arts organisations, managing contractors and budgets, collaborating with designers and liaising with artists

  Event manager or coordinator: using strong organisational and project management skills to deliver successful, cost-effective events, managing staff and suppliers, booking venues, facilities and equipment, marketing and promotion, analysis and reporting on event performance

  Hotel manager: overseeing daily hotel operations, planning and supervising staff activities, ensuring the smooth and profitable running of business, strategic planning and reporting, communicating effectively with employees, customers and suppliers

Entry requirements for University of South Australia

Recent secondary education : Meet any prerequisite requirements with a minimum grade of C- or equivalent AND Qualify for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), and achieved a competitive Selection Rank (ATAR), or Complete secondary qualifications equivalent to SACE, or Complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum score of 24 points.

  Higher education study : Complete or partly complete a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution, or Complete at least four Open Universities Australia (OUA) courses at undergraduate level or above.

  Vocational Education and Training (VET): Complete an award from a registered training organisation at Certificate IV or above.

  IELTS total [6.0], IELTS reading [6.0], IELTS writing [6.0]. TOEFL PBT - 550 with TWE of 4.5.TOEFL IBT - 60 with Reading and Writing not less than 18.
