About the course

This course requires successful completion of 240 credit points which includes four core subjects, four subjects selected to prepare you for careers in business (professional subjects), eight major subjects taken as a Business specialisation, and eight elective subjects which can be chosen from any discipline available at Sydney City Campus.

　　The Bachelor of Business harnesses your energy and passion for success. This degree gives you the knowledge to create a career as a business professional. The Professional Careers Subjects will help to shape your career in one of three core business areas: Money, Markets or Management. The degree provides flexibility to choose a variety of non-business subjects in order to gain depth and perspective on your enterprise future.

　　At Sydney City Campus, you can complete your three-year bachelor’s degree in as little as two years and enter the workforce sooner. A bachelor’s degree usually consists of 24 subjects. With our flexible academic calendar, you can study 12 subjects in one year over three sessions. However, we recommend that you undertake a maximum of 3 subjects per session so that your study load is not too demanding. You will have less downtime between sessions so a lighter study load will help you to have a better chance at passing all of your subjects.

　　The Accounting major equips you with the expert skills to develop in-depth knowledge of accounting, supported by knowledge of law, economics, and finance. If you are seeking professional accreditation, you will also undertake additional professional subjects in finance, taxation and management accounting as part of your elective pool. How to apply

Entry requirements for Western Sydney University - Sydney City Campus

International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum score of 24. Successful completion of Global Assessment Certificate with a GPA of 2.3. Successful completion of Cambridge International or Edexcel GCE A Level examination with a score of 6# from 3 Advanced level core subjects only. A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 with no band lower than 6.0 (or equivalent). TOEFL ibt: Total score 82, Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13.
