About the course

The Native Art Program offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Native Art studio practice. UAF is the only school in Alaska to offer a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Native Art and is only one of a few universities in the country to offer a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Native Arts. The studio is equipped with indigenous and contemporary carving tools. Areas of study include wood, ivory, stone and bone carving, woodblock printing, skin sewing, beadwork, basketry and mixed media. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Alaska - Fairbanks

English proficiency may be demonstrated by: A minimum TOEFL score of 79. A minimum IELTS score of 6.5. The admission qualifications for international applicants are the same as domestic applicants with the addition of: Proof of English Proficiency Official diploma for institutions who do not list a degree and graduation date on the transcript. Requests for exception to this policy may be submitted via email to the Office of Admissions. Acceptable grounds for waiving this requirement may include: Successful completion (C or higher) of a college-level, non-ESL English composition course. A comparable score on another approved exam such as the ACT, SAT or ACCUPLACER exam. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5
