About the course

At The University of Tampa, students can study violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp and classical guitar. UT students work ly with professional artist associate faculty, many of whom are active performers with The Florida Orchestra. Students perform for master classes at UT with guest artists, attend performances at the Straz Center for Performing Arts (adjacent to UT) and benefit from a vibrant arts community in the Tampa Bay area. Orchestral string players benefit from an active string chamber music program at UT, inspired by our ensemble in residence, the Trio de Minaret. Students develop musical leadership skills while playing challenging repertoire with their peers. In the Chamber Orchestra, students develop their skills as ensemble players.
