About the course
The Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) in Honors Sciences and the Humanities (HSH) with a concentration in Environmental Science and the Humanities is designed for capable, curious students who are interested in pursuing a broad and challenging course of study that will prepare them for a variety of careers and a lifetime of active citizenship. With its foundation in the humanities, the degree focuses on the study of the human relationship to the environment. Courses draw upon philosophy, literature, writing, the arts, and science and engineering. Honors students delve profoundly into the humanities through the historic relationship between human beings and their surroundings. Many university graduates change careers several times during their lives. Therefore, this degree also emphasizes marketable skills that are portable, such as critical thinking, writing, and problem solving, that ready students for a broad range of career options.
