About the course
Environmental sustainability studies how human societies can meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Achieving this goal requires balancing short- and long-term needs related to jobs and economic growth, societal well-being, and environmental health. Students typically have interests in how individuals, organizations and societies can affect the environment, and creating a better world in which to live. This degree enables students to develop the necessary technical skills to address relevant environmental and societal problems, including skills in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), statistical and spatial reasoning, and remote sensing. The nature of the degree allows for flexibility, as multiple electives and degree options are available. Students may pursue either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following options: Science and Natural Resources , Culture and Society,Planning and Management. How to apply
Entry requirements for University of Oklahoma
Admission to the University of Oklahoma is based on completion of a rigorous secondary school curriculum, demonstrated by a recognized certificate of completion that would qualify you for entrance into a university in your country.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Applicants must submit official transcripts from each institution attended.
Freshman must submit official transcripts from all secondary or middle schools attended. If secondary school in your country includes standardized graduation exams and certificates, official copies of these should be submitted.
All freshman applicants are required to submit one letter of recommendation, two additional letters may be submitted.
Any high school official, including a counselor, teacher, principal, etc. Preferably someone who knows the student well.
Students will need to know the name and email address of their preferred recommender so he/she can be contacted about composing the letter of recommendation.
