About the course

The foundation of the environmental policy emphasis is a basic scientific understanding of environmental issues, but its focus is on the varying social processes that contribute to environmental problems and solutions. Students integrate their understanding of the natural sciences with not just politics, but disciplines like economics, sociology, anthropology, communication, and the law. Exposing students to such a variety of faculty members and perspectives guides students toward a broader understanding of complexity of environment issues that a single discipline is unable to provide. How to apply

Entry requirements for Northern Illinois University

IELTS: Minimum required overall band score of 6.0. TOEFL: 71 on an Internet-based test, 527 on a paper-based test. The ACT or SAT is required for international freshmen applicants from U.S. high schools. High School Diploma: You must have graduated by the time you start at NIU in order to be admitted. Grades: You must have passing grades equivalent to a U.S. C plus average on all transcripts and/or exam scores.
