About the course
The UTC English Department offers minors in literature and creative writing, and BA programs in Creative Writing, Literary Studies, and Rhetoric & Professional Writing. Our core empowers students with historical, theoretical, and practical knowledge of the cultural and linguistic forces that continue to shape our society. We teach you to analyze literary and nonliterary texts, and to produce clear and forceful writing of your own. UTC’s Rhetoric & Professional Writing Program empowers students with the theoretical foundations and practical skills to interpret and engage with public dialogues of the past, present, and future. Students investigate ancient arguments and present-day rhetoric, and they develop practical skills in writing and design plus strategies for adapting these skills to a wide variety of public audiences. Our alums work as copywriters, technical writers, freelance writers, marketing professionals, publishers, and more. Scholarships - View all scholarships Internships
