About the course

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science is designed for students who seek a liberal arts education combined with a solid foundation in computer science. Students may choose electives from any complementary liberal arts program beyond computer science.

　　Graduates of this program will be able to:

　　Understand the essential facts, concepts, principles and theories relating to computer science.

　　Apply computer science concepts to solve computer-related problems.

　　Analyze algorithms, computer science methods and techniques.

　　Analyze and plan the development of a typical professional computer science problem.

　　Make succinct oral presentations and written expositions about technical problems and their solutions.

How to apply

Entry requirements for Kent State University

New freshmen applicants must finish secondary school in their home country by the time of enrollment to be eligible for university (comparable to the completion of senior high school in the U.S.).

　　Secondary School Transcripts/detailed mark sheets (Certified English translation and original language)

　　Freshmen should meet the minimum requirement of GPA ≥ 2.5 on a U.S. 4.0 scale.

　　TOEFL iBT - 71, IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL PBT- 525 pBT(discontinued as of July 2017), 18 average of Revise PBT

　　On SAT, a minimum of 510 Evidence-based reading and writing / ACT, a minimum of 21 in English
