About the course

The Department of Computer Science offers both undergraduate and master's degree programs. The major prepares students for graduate study or high-level professional employment in the computer and information technology industries. The department also offers a minor in computer science that gives students the background to use the computer in other disciplines.

　　SUNY New Paltz has a fully networked campus and a multi-user computer system that provides email, Internet access, and software to the campus community. Additionally, the Department of Computer Science maintains several specialized computer laboratories. How to apply

Entry requirements for SUNY New Paltz

The basic requirement for admission is a high school degree and a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale (or an 85% grade average or higher).

　　The essay that is a required part of the SUNY Supplemental Application or the Common Application is acceptable. You may also use the SUNY International Applicant Essay form - form for your essay. You may choose any topic for your autobiographical essay.
